Well thought out private dwelling, with juliet balcony where your bed is. Little kitchenette, with fridge. The bathroom is big and well planned out. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room so you can make it warm and cosy (there is also a heater/ac/fan, for all temps!). We were only there one night and paid to have an evening meal there. Four courses cooked by the owner, all locally sourced, delicious! Highly recommend this place. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hiking in the nearby national park.

To be honest I found the most lovely people there . Yukie and her family are the warmest people . They drove me back to the closer train station and Yukie was so warm and welcoming. Even if I stayed only 1 night it was a healing break and that’s just so nice to feel so welcome. This family is a gem

ゲストハウス津津 ligt op 6 minuten lopen van Horikawa Bridge en 13 km van heiligdom Udo-jingu, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer in Nichinan. This guesthouse was perfect. It had all the amenities I needed, including A/C and a full kitchen. The room was well appointed, and the shared spaces were very clean. The owner, Kouki, is genuinely a decent and honest person. Even though I booked at the last minute, he responded right away. I don’t speak Japanese, but he spoke a little English, and with the help of apps we got along fine. He’s knowledgeable about the area and even offered to arrange a tour. We drove down to Cape Toi, visiting many of the sights along the coast. If you’re into surfing and want to know where all the secret surf spots are, Kouki is your guy. Additionally, the nearby area in Nichinan has some historic and interesting sites to visit—also recommended by the stellar host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We have been the only guests. The host was super nice. She offered breakfast and dinner, both very tasty and individually prepared. It was a kind of small boutique hotel experience. Good place to discover the national park around. Having a car is helpful to discover the surrounding.

Sea-Dweller bevindt zich in Miyazaki, op 1,4 km van Aoshima Shrine, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een bar. The host was amazing and very friendly. He really made our stay memorable and helped us to see all the highlights of the area. In a great act of hospitality he took us to obi and even provided umbrellas. We can just recommend to stay there. We also met other very friendly guest with whom we explored Obi and the shrines.

Guest House Shizuho is gelegen in Takachiho, op minder dan 1 km van Takachiho Shrine en 2,2 km van Takachiho Gorge Freshwater Fish Aquarium, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis WiFi... The guest house was superb! The owners were super friendly and welcoming. The guest house and room and everything was super clean and comfortable. The room was massive! So good! They have private parking which is great too! The location is really good! You can walk to the gorge or drive (I'd recommend the free parking at the gorge). Honestly highly recommend it! And we're definitely coming back again ❤️
