They helped arrange an excellent tuk tuk driver and recommended a simple restaurant with the best Indian food I have ever had times a million. They also provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning and made us feel at home.

The whole family made me feel very safe and Karunarathna waited for me at every stop of our tour. This place is very peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room is very clean, the bed comfy, the option of AC or Fan in the room. The whole family really go above and beyond for their guests and I’m so grateful for them. Situated in Kandy with Kandy railway station nearby, Smile Hub Kandy -Youth Hostel- features accommodation with free private parking. The property has mountain and city views, and is 2.6 km from Bogambara Stadium. Kandy City Center Shopping Mall is 2.8 km from the guest house and Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens is 3.7 km away. Everything! First of all the people working in this hostel are very sweet helpful and answered all of my numerous questions about travelling around Kandy. The hostel is extremely clean, there are 2 big common areas, a laundry place (for free by the way), 2 kitchens, books and a notebook with many tips for Sri lanka written by travellers (restaurants, homestays, what to visit etc) which I find so useful and so cool! Rooms are big and bright, there is hot shower and AC, a desk with a drawer that you can lock. People are very respectful and quiet here. It is a good 35 min walk to the clock tower but you can take the bus if you prefer. I highly recommend this place, it is easy to meet people and you get so many travelling tips!

The room was clean and very modern, great shower, amazing view, close to the lake (10 minutes walk). A huge breakfast at the balcony, very tasty!
