B&Bs in Udawalawe National Park

Perfect location - 5 minutes from national park entrance. great host who really wants his guests to feel welcomed and taken care of. The food was fantastic, the pool was clean and there were not so many people staying there at that time,so it was quiet. Plus thing: there is one elephant coming really close to the hotel to feed,so you can see him from 1 meter distance :)

We were the only cottage, very private, great location in the jungle watching wildlife. Hosts couldn’t do anymore for us, gave us a ride to viewpoint, sorted our guide and jeep for safari. Moms cooking on our terrace was fab too 👍

We had the cheapest tent with fan. But everything was fine. Also the night was quiet. The drain in the shower smelled a bit but it was not so bad. You can watch a lot of monkeys and we also so a tucan from our terrace. Swimming pool is nice.

Quiet location with lovely outdoor space. Room+bathroom were clean and comes with AC, mosquito net and even a fridge. Very friendly staff that give us complementary welcome drink and the owner arranged everything for us, including lunch on arrival (7USD/2200LKR), the safari (60-67 USD for 5h). He even went out of his way to drop us off in the city centre (free!).

This was a fabulous spot!! The owner was a truly delightful guy, nothing was too much trouble at all and he was very kind and accommodating. They made me a special dinner for being gluten free which was lovely and he got up very early to make breakfast for us to take on our Safari!! Was a cute place to stay, room was all you needed with lovely private terrace at the back. A nice quiet spot out the way but conveniently located for Udawalawe national park. Would definitely recommend!

Max was really welcoming, he sorted out our Safari tour for us when we arrived meaning we didn't have to plan anything! And even managed to get some other guests on the same tour to make it cheaper for us. We had a great time on the Safari tour. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious with a private bathroom, AC and a kettle for Tea/Coffee (Might be needed for the early wake up for Safari!). Thank you Max!

Great host, great location and clean houses. Also surprising bathroom design and best safari ever. Private, respectful and exciting.
