The room had everything that we required and most important we had a great nights sleep. The hosts were very frieldly and helpful. It was really good value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

Lush surroundings: the tiny cabins are set back into the forest. You sleep in total darkness and quiet. You awaken to bird song. There’s a hike right from the cabin, and owner Mark is full of good advice of 1,000 other things to do in the region. It’s a relaxed place with a shared kitchen kept neat and tidy and well-equipped. We were there as a couple and enjoyed meeting other travellers, but the place can also be booked for big groups which would be excellent for mountain biking enthusiasts and others. The climb up to the platform bed is pretty steep but the bed was cozy and firm and comfortable.

The room with the balcony was sooo pretty- same goes for the bathroom and the entire villa. The very nice owner topped it off with the best breakfast we have had in NZ. Freshly prepared with homemade produce. Highly recommendable!
