We needed some days to rest and this place was just perfect for it. You can easily spend all day in the hammock or the terrace contemplating the sea rising and falling with high and low tide. Position is good if you want to spend some days in the old town, but you are quite far from the beaches that are on the other side of the islands. They have scooter rental option. The host is really nice. There is no water refill station but since we asked for it, she was making sure there was always a jug with water in the fridge that we could use to refill our bottles. We really recommend this place

I stayed at The Sun Long Beach Resort for 6 nights and had such a lovely experience. The location is perfect—just a short 5-minute walk to Long Beach and close to the main road where you’ll find restaurants, an ATM, and a grocery store. Super convenient without being noisy. The room was spotless, spacious, and really comfortable. They leave fresh water every day, which was a thoughtful touch, and you can also rent a scooter directly from the resort, which made it really easy to explore the island. It’s true that there’s a mosque nearby and you can hear the call to prayer, especially early in the morning—but I used earplugs and slept right through it every night without a problem. The real highlight was the staff—they were incredibly kind and helpful. My flight was seriously delayed and I arrived really late, after restaurants had already closed. They proactively messaged me to ask if I’d like them to prepare something in advance—and when I arrived, there was a delicious pad Thai and fresh watermelon waiting for me, which they didn’t even charge for. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and made me feel so welcome. Would absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful, well-located stay with genuinely kind people running it!

I LOVED staying here. My bungalow was so nice and CLEAN!. I really liked the kitchen area & the hammock. I had lots of privacy around my bungalow, it was right next to a bunch of trees! I saw monkeys:) the neighbourhood is peaceful with local families, but 5 min walk to 711 and other amenities. 5-10 min walk to a quiet beach. Amazing!!! The owners were very cool and spoke great English. Everything was perfect , great value for the price.

Lanta Smile Inn and Mr. Yim, the owner and manager, are the best!! What a fabulous stay we had🥰. The facility is well-stocked with everything and is squeaky clean. Mr. Yim goes out of his way to make everything perfect for his guests. He knows everything, and/ or will find out from tours to where to find things. The daily fruit and snacks are just the cherry ontop. We extended our stay with another few nights and will be back. We have made a good friend.
