They have six rooms, three dogs, and a couple of good beach cruiser bicycles to get around town. Pedro manages their hotel when he is not surging. He, and the chef Agusto, built the hotel designed by his architect parents. They have been camping on the property ever since their grandfather purchased the property back in the 80’s. This family invited my wife and I to join their Christmas dinner when all of the restaurants in La Paloma were closed. I can’t express how much their hospitality made our visit a memorable one. Highly recommended. You will love it.

Rudy and his partner (I’m sorry for not remembering her name) were so friendly, welcoming, and happy. They’ve built a wonderful refuge in Punta del Diablo and helped me check on restaurant hours and reservation requirements as well as give me information about the best local beaches to visit. The breakfast was a lovingly prepared set to keep anyone going for a whole day of walking or relaxing on the beach.

First of all the hosts, Ornella and Matthias. Such lovely people, always there for a chat, very caring and always having an eye on the hostel and surroundings to keep everyone and everything safe. The hostel itself is very spacious and provides chill out areas indoors and outside, in the shade and in the sun, inviting for any kind of weather and mood. It is super clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, bathroom tidy any time of the day, shared room comfortable with enough space and lockers. The hostel is located at the main street close to restaurants, shops, supermarkets, but also close to all beaches of La Paloma. In the end, I stayed for more than a week and can fully recommend to stay in this place!

The huts are set in the centre of a beautiful lush green garden with birds singing. Juan is a very friendly and attentive host who will make sure you are comfortable and happy. The breakfast is accompanied by fresh fruit and Juan even offered to swap for a gluten free option without bread as one of us is celiac. We extended our stay and would surely come back again.
