We had a wonderful week-long stay at Hotel Paraporti in Chora, Folegandros. The host, Kostas, and his father, George, were warm and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The hotel is situated right next to the historical Kastro and less than two minutes walk to the central square of Chora. The apartment was spacious, neat and spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed to prepare some of our meals ourselves. Kostas organised transfer from Parikia to Chora on the day of our arrival and back to the the harbour on the day of our departure. We loved this place!

Loved the way the house has been renovated so sympathetically and beautifully. Very comfortable, beautiful views from the terrace (very windy when we were there, so not able to use that much), great location for the town and busses to other parts of the island.

Our hosts provided bread, jams, cheese, butter, juice, coffee and bottled water, enough for a light breakfast and dis not charge extra for this. The property was immaculate, in fact we thought it was brand new but in fact had been in operation for a year. There was nothing we wanted for - everything we needed (and more) was there. The property was cleaned and serviced daily and the owners made sure we were not disturbed in order to do this. Efthemios met us at the ferry and drove us the short distance to the house - he also transferred us back to the ferry at the end of our stay. This is an exceptional property - a classic white and blue 2 storey Greek house with upstairs balcony and downstairs courtyards front and back. there was not 1 but 3 clothes drying racks with plenty of pegs, a washing machine, a dishwashing machine and a fully equipped kitchen with hot plate and microwave. The house was tastefully furnished to a high standard and the upstairs and downstairs fully fitted bathrooms provided flexibility. In a nutshell, one of the best properties we have ever found on Booking.com.

The location is wonderful- right on the beach overlooking the port and the bay. Great communication with the host Alexandros, and we appreciate his recommendations. (We especially enjoyed 'Matsata' at Sinantisi Restaurant in Ano Meria. It is a must for everyone!) Maria the housekeeper was there when we arrived --too early for check in-- but we were able to leave our luggage and enjoyed a lovely lunch at Syrma, which is conveniently located just a few steps from the apartment. The house is beautiful, you can feel the old world charm, and it is full of lovely details. This is by far the most equipped house I ever stayed in, from sun umbrellas & children's toys down to suntan lotion and even bandages. Special thanks for the bottle of wine & the local honey we received as a welcoming gift. Maria did an amazing job; the house was spotless. We enjoyed the patio the most under those gorgeous bougainvillea you see on the photos, but also waking up in the bedroom to that grand view was a treat. The "main" bus stop is only 100 meters (at the port), but the bus also stops just a few steps from the house. Small market shop is just a few steps away. Check out was also easy, and we were able leave our bags in the storage room until our late afternoon ferry departure. All around we had a perfect vacation stay. Highly recommend it!

This was the most amazing property where everything was exceptional. Our host has thought of everything, there was food and drink in the fridge to start us off and water included. The house was spotlessly clean, every day. We were picked up from the port and dropped off at the end of our holiday. We will be going back at some point, as Folegandros is a fantastic island and we will definitely be looking to stay at the same property. There is a brilliant bus service on the island that connects to the main village.

In a quiet location at the back of the village with amazing sea views overlooking the harbour and beyond. The room was basically furnished but well maintained and clean, the extra touches of a bottle of water in the fridge on arrival, mosquito repellant, sewing kit, numerous clothes pegs and a complementary raki were much appreciated.

Wonderful panoramic views over the village and the nearby islands as the studio was on the top floor ,with two balconies making it worth the extra expense. Two beaches within walking distance. The front desk staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, the room is a decent size with enough storage space The hotel also offers free transport from and to the port ,
