Beautiful views, felt like I was at home, clean sheets, lovely sun room.

The house is simply beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is excellently equipped, with a large selection of utensils. The house is in a very quiet location, yet all the West Iceland sights are well reachable.

Amazing place. Rooms are the cutest, the view is amazing. Kitchen is great and common areas are perfect for a little stay. Borgarnes is a very nice city and the homestay of perfectly located. Definitely recommend. Thank you!

Loved that the owner greeted us and told us a little more about the place. There was a lovely restaurant next door for dinner. The apartment is above a charming cafe with a fun gift shop!! We actually stopped there for lunch on our way through to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, so it was wonderful to stay here on the way back.

Super cozy to stay. Coffee shop right below. I can imagin it would be even beter to stay if it is snowing.

The Accommodation is clean & cozy with all facilities we want. Appreciate the perfect instruction, covering all items we dealt with.

Great location, 15 minutes away from Borganes . The house is perfect, it has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen allows you to cook with ease, with the addition of the outside covered barbecue for cooking steaks/ lamb etc without setting off any fire alarms. All the essentials salt, pepper, spices, coffee, kitchen roll , sugar, etc etc were provided, with toilet roll, conditioner, shampoo, hand wash , body wash, etc which was a lovely surprise! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the whole house is decorated to a high standard. The hot tub is a jet spa which we used daily after a long day out. It’s perfect. Having a cabin with bedroom and separate shower /wc means it’s also perfect for larger groups, as we were a party of 2 we had plenty of room. The house has great facilities for washing/ drying and has a large TV if you feel compelled on stormy nights to watch a bit of television. The icing on the cake is the location for northern lights, having a great 360 view without interruption means you’ve got the best chances. Out of 12 nights we luckily managed to see 10 nights/ mornings despite some very challenging weather in November. We didn’t need to drive out, we just happily sat wrapped up under the covered deck and waited for Aurora to appear. There is a main deck which has a sheltered covered area which is perfect, then a lower deck for the cabin, a base deck in the garden and to the side a grass garden area. Very nice garden furniture and a picnic table for warmer days! The road to the house is a little pitted in winter but nothing crazy just drive carefully. We tend to have 4X4 or AWD car in November as the roads to tend to wear in winter. The location is perfect for driving up the west coast and north. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay at Lundur again and the other properties on the portfolio.

Confortable and cosy house. Very well-equipped. Good communication with the hosts. Perfect location to see the northern lights (including directly from the top bedroom).
