For English speakers, I recommend planning your car parking prior to arrival with a translator. The garage is nearby but you need a card to enter/exit the facility and if it's not planned properly, it ends up being time consuming and complicated since you'll have to drive through the town. Orvieto was a 2 night stay after 3 weeks in Slovenia and Tuscany and our exit to Rome airport - a recommendation from a friend and one of the highlights of the trip. Our host, Nadia, was extremely helpful, sorting out issues that we experienced bungling an autostrada toll booth. The room was lovely - clean spacious with access to shared kitchen facilities.
