Truly a special place to stay! Everything was just as advertised, if not better. The room was absolutely gorgeous with all the amenities you could hope for including coffee, snacks, drinks and luxury hair- and skincare products. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get back up. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, every course was explained in detail with instructions on how to best enjoy each dish. Since the food depends on the season so much, I would love to come back at a warmer time of year one day to see the difference. In addition to the shared onsen and the one on the balcony, you can also book a time slot for a private outdoor bath. They also have the option to book a massage, which was wonderful after traveling for two weeks and carrying a backpack the entire time. If I get the opportunity to come back, I would love to stay for two nights in order to fully enjoy everything.

It looks new and modern but they found the way to keep the tradition japanese atmosphere inside the hotel. There fountains with koi, zen gardens, kabuki mask on the walls illuminated by traditional japanese lamps. The tatami rooms have everything you can ask for a complete experience in a ryokan, in particular if you get the one with the private bath. Food is simply delicious.

The inn was big and clean, and the dinner was very delicious. Thanks to the kind staff every time, I felt as if they were entertaining me, and the inn was warm. It is located in a busy area and it is very good to enjoy traveling, and the open-air bath was also very good! Above all、 a staff member named kaho(?) was very kind among the staff members of the inn, and I felt very good whenever I faced each other. All the staff at Rangetsu were kind, but kaho was especially kind. Please say thank you even though I don't know the exact name of the employee! I hope to visit again next time.
