I had an incredible stay at Bay Dreams Place and can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming Iqbal (owner) and Ghan (cooker), who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. Their kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference. The accommodation itself is top-notch. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Every detail is thought of to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience. After a long day of exploring, coming back to such a cozy and well-maintained room was a treat. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. Every morning, I was delighted by the variety and quality of the food. You can eat to your heart's content, and the best part is that the breakfast menu changes daily, so you’re in for a pleasant surprise each morning. And don’t miss the Ghan’s grilled fish at dinner—it's an absolute must! The fish is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I can’t forget to mention that Iqbal and Ghan took great care of me and my brother by taking us on a motorcycle ride to see the elephants over two days because we couldn't get very close on the first day. They are both very attentive and have very good hearts. On my birthday, they thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake so we could celebrate in the morning. Whatever you need, Iqbal can help you with everything, like: scooter, safaris, surfboard rental, transport and so on. Overall, Bay Dreams Place exceeded all my expectations. With its wonderful staff, excellent accommodation, and outstanding food, it's the perfect getaway. I'll definitely be returning next year!!!

A hidden gem! My husband and me loved this place. The host is very welcoming and will help with anything. We've been there for a whole month and couldn't ask for more: fully equipped kitchen, sleeping room with air con, an own backyard with lots of palm trees, beautiful sunrises and a big deck upstairs. The house is actually at the beach, so you can watch the ocean anytime. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

We loved our stay with Julia — a peaceful escape just outside busy Arugam Bay. The private beach was perfect for beautiful walks, and the 14 rescue dogs made the experience truly special. The comfort is simple but everything you need is there: clean toilets, fridge, large open-air shower with good water pressure, and electric sockets in the rooms. Exactly what we were looking for — the feeling of being alone in a small paradise of nature. An endless beach with no one around, a starry sky at night, and a stunning sunrise over the ocean for early risers. Extras like a beach volleyball court with ball available, hammocks, and very attentive staff made the stay even better. The owner also organized two unforgettable activities for us: one of the best safaris we had in Sri Lanka at Kumana National Park, and a peaceful boat trip on the Panama lagoon, which felt like friends showing us around their home.

Really nice place! One minute from the beach and 15 minutes from whisky point (surf spot). Kind and always available staff. The owner organised for us the Kumana Safari (just two of us on the Jeep), the Lagoon safari and the road trip to Ella, everything without commissions. We also tried the restaurant and was really good, always fresh fish and fresh fruit.
