We were on a driving tour of eastern Mexico and this was our last stop. Beds were the most comfortable on our trip, staff was kind and attentive and it was super cute. We only stayed one night but will come back and stay a week next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cmap Akumal. The owners are incredibly kind, pleasant, and always willing to help with anything we needed right from the moment of booking. They showed great goodwill in fixing a mistake I made with the reservation, and when the mistake was on their side, they were equally humble and proactive in finding a solution. The cabana is surrounded by nature in a calm, quiet, and truly bucolic setting. The accommodation is simple, but it has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We especially loved spending time relaxing by the pool after the beach, it was the perfect balance of rest and fun. We are very grateful for the warm hospitality and will definitely be coming back!

Amazing location right on the beach. Lots of amenities that we needed with a baby - microwave, kettle, etc. Having the sound of the waves all the time was amazing. The place really felt like home and we didn’t want to leave.

I loved the location of the facility and our room proximity to beach, direct view and away from public or busier areas. I loved our room, it was beyond perfect. I loved Lizbeth at the front desk and how helpful and accommodating she was for help with area restaurants, taxis and simply being available for little things that come up during our vacation. She is incredibly pleasant, her English is terrific and she was always ready with quick help!

Ikalar is so beautiful and extraordinary that words cannot describe it. I have never seen something like this before on planet earth. Everything was built with so much love, beauty, phantasy and in perfect harmony with nature and the cosmos. Thank you Andres for being a role model how creativity could flow into architecture. We enjoyed our stay so much and felt so welcome and were treated not just as guests, but as friends. All our wishes were immediately taken care of. We hope to be at Ikalar soon again. Lovely big condo right on edge of beach in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Loved the swimming pool. We had turtles come and lay their eggs right at entrance to beach. Sea was a bit rocky on the bottom and had sargassum but I think it's the norm.

The location is stunning, the property we stayed in was immaculate and we completely switched off, which is exactly all you need to do at Las Villas Akumal.

    We enjoyed the privacy of Las Villas Akumal -- having a beautiful beach just steps away -- having Jungle Fish Restaurant, which is both excellent and fun, so close to us -- having the Las Villas Akumal restaurant upstairs for breakfast.

    Fantastic location right at the beach, secluded, beautiful, quiet, clean swimming pools- our baby enjoyed a little one! We saw small turtles hatching at the beach and plenty of corrals and fish to the right from the hotel while snorkelling. We had an ocean view villa and it was above and beyond stay.
