Ricardo and Sandra have a great apartment in the main commercial hub of Praia. The apartment surprised me on how spacious it was and it also has a well appointed kitchen. The best part of the trip though was how kind and helpful Ricardo was. He let me leave my bags after checkout, answered all of my questions promptly, and even helped me after I checked out. The apartment is in a good area with a few groceries and restaurants close by. You would not go wrong staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Alegria. The place is cosy, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a real home away from home. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a very generous welcoming package including juice, wine, beer, and water — such a kind touch that immediately set the tone for the stay. The atmosphere throughout the property is wonderful, and breakfast was truly excellent. The staff are incredibly kind, and the manager goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels comfortable and cared for. What makes Casa Alegria even more special is that by staying here, you’re also supporting a meaningful cause that empowers women — a detail that really adds value to the whole experience. They were also very understanding and flexible with our late flight, kindly allowing us to stay longer so we could relax before heading to the airport. All in all, it was an amazing experience and I can’t recommend Casa Alegria enough!

Carlos even gave us a ride und picked us up at some nice Dinnerplace. And we even got an Airport dropoff including an breakfast wich wasen't suposed to be. Great place amazing Family, thank you all you made our stay an fantastic experience

Tugged away from the rest of the world, Ja opened a room of her ancestor's home to guests who would like to experience what it's like to live in Cape Verdian raw country side - which includes being offline, taking cold showers with a bucket and a mug, sleeping in pin drop silence (apart from the roosters), walking in the steep hills, etc. One can go with a shared taxi until the roundabout of Sao Domingos. From there, a local can come and pick you up for 300 ESC, or you can walk (it's absolutely safe, the locals are friendly and helpful, location on the map is accurate). They can also drop you to the airport for 1500 ESC, and it just takes 30mins to reach. Ja knows how to cook for vegetarians, too. She is a witty and interesting host to talk to. I am still amazed at the purity and simplicity of this place, and hope to be back one day.

Hospitality: The host was an amazing and friendly person. His warm welcome made me feel right at home. He was always available for questions and ready to help whenever I needed it. Overall: I am very satisfied with my stay in this apartment. The combination of the great location, the tidiness, and especially the host's hospitality made my experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Gîte de rando haut bevindt zich in Mato Correia en biedt een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Dit appartement heeft een bar en watersportfaciliteiten. Iolanda and Johannes are kind and welcoming hosts who make you feel at ease from the very first contact. They run a restaurant just a few minutes from home — Sabor — where the food is absolutely to die for. They have a lovely daughter, Amy, and Iolanda’s mother, Mrs. Marcolina, is a true force of nature. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, and the views are beyond words . the photos don’t do it justice. The area is perfect for those who enjoy hiking or simply taking in the surrounding nature. The locals are friendly; everyone greets you, and with some, you can even have a nice little chat. The children are absolutely adorable and offer real life lessons. Lastly, a special thanks to Iolanda’s cousin, Simone, who made me feel part of the community and helped me discover a bit more about the locals everyday life.
