The kindness of Margaret and Blair, two exceptional people, has truly amazed Us. Their charisma and permanent attention to detail stand out, as does the quality of the food, which they prepare themselves. I must mention Margaret's extraordinary homemade orange candy, which brings back fond memories of my childhood and my aunt's sweets. They surprise you with every gesture; for example: when we asked about Machir Bay beach, they quickly asked us to wait and brought out a folding tarp so we could sit and enjoy our mates on the sand. Their dedication is evident even in such well thought out details. Margaret and Blair are excellent hosts, and I would return to their place without hesitation. The accommodation and interior decoration are magnificent. The house, approximately 280 years old, has been lovingly cared for by them for 52 years, a luxury not to be missed if visiting Islay. The location is strategic, right in the center of the island. Everything here exceeded our expectation. We recommended 100%. La amabilidad de Margaret y Blair, dos personas excepcionales. Su carisma y su permanente observación en los detalles nos han maravillado, lo mismo que la calidad de la comida, preparada en su totalidad por ellos. No quiero dejar pasar el extraordinario dulce de naranjas casero de Margater, me evoca momentos de mi infancia con los dulces de mi tía. Todo aquí supero nuestras expectativas. Lo recomendamos 100%.

The modern stylish luxury accommodation was so easy to get to by ferry or by air as it is right next to the airport but there are only two small planes a day. The drive way is big enough for several vehicles. You can park up to the entrance. The property is very big inside, it is suitable for up to four couples and there would still be space to spare! It is top to bottom luxury and immaculately clean. A wow factor builds from the outside and continues to the upstairs open plan living area and kitchen. There are incredible and expansive views across to the sea. A dining balcony extends from the kitchen /dining area which is stylishly fitted with top end appliances. The bedrooms are luxurious with individual character and access to private balconies. The beds were huge and very comfortable. They have thought of everything! The TVs are all super top end with Sonos sound system and woofer for movie night. Sam was a super professional host, easy to reach if needed. Absolutely stunning place, super peaceful and there was complete privacy. There was even a generous single malt to welcome us. The local Chinese takeaway delivered at the weekend and was very good! Easy access to the 7 mile long beach down the perimeter of the airport in newly laid road. I cannot recommend this location enough, the Best in Islay by far, even beats the Machrie Hotel in my view!

The location is great. It is a comfortable place with ample space. It is a nice building (old school) where multiple apartments are located. It is higher up the hill so you have an nice view. And there is nearly no traffic at all so it is nice and quiet. The hostess is helpful and will try to fix any shortcomings (see what I did not like).
