The host was very kind and polite, and recommended very well priced food, transportation and tour options. The host was also accommodating in allowing the guest to leave luggage in the apartment before and after check in and check out times.

This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

He connected us with his cousin who gave us a great rate for the drive from Guatemala City straight to the property. There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.
