All we saw was snow and fog/ cloud. Iceland was having a late winter to mid-April.

Each room has a patio with views of the garden. Very comfy and well equipped modern space, super clean. Host was very responsive and was quick to check on us after a big power outage. The location is a ways down an unpaved road but totally worth it to just step outside and see the northern lights. 2 in 1 washer and dryer was very nice. Smaller load will go fine on its own, larger loads will require more dry time but very convenient to start a load before going about our day and not have to worry about switching machines.

The Elda House exceeded our expectations and was our favorite guesthouse we stayed at in Iceland. The facilities were very clean, staff was friendly, and the location was perfect for staying near Myvatan. We loved the concept of sharing a kitchen and bathroom with one other room. We also got to experience the magic of the Northern Lights right outside of our front door. It was truly a great stay and we plan to come back on our next trip!

The diner with lamb was good, also the warm home made rubarber. There are 2 hot tubs beside the place to use. Good WiFi and very friendly waitresses.
