The host, Hiroshi, is a true gentleman. He came to pick us up at the train station, gave us a lot of tips and was really friendly and kind to us. If you come to Biwa lake, this guesthouse is the place to be.

This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.

Yumotokan está muy bien situado en el barrio de Ogoto Onsen, Otsu, a 16 km de Templo Enryaku-ji, a 17 km de Monte Hiei y a 19 km de Templo Shoren-in. Having a room with a private dining room and onsen was truly wonderful. The public bath facilities were also well worth a visit if you are comfortable with onsen culture, especially the open air bath on level 5.

Hiei Blue Roof - Vacation STAY 13887 está en Otsu, a 8 km de Templo Enryaku-ji, a 8,7 km de Templo de Eikan-do Zenrin-ji y a 9,3 km de Shugakuin Imperial Villa. Blue Roof Hiei was a wonderful stay in a comfortable well maintained home. The host had excellent communication and provided many useful travel tips including parking in Kyoto. We loved the local sites including Hieizan temple and hiking trails. The house was well equipped with a nice little back yard (our kids loved to play there) and the kotatsu (table with heater underneath) was a great hangout space for watching TV or working. Overall it was a cozy and quiet refuge from the hustle of Kyoto. Our family will definitely be returning here on our next visit to Kansai!

Beautiful farm house, large, clean, full kitchen, laundry,the host had a steaming bath ready on arrival with lovely hot tea! Also a free gift from their garden! Superb hosts and a lovely house, also great value!

Guesthouse Shin se encuentra en Omihachiman, a 37 km de Templo Enryaku-ji y a 38 km de Templo Sanzen-in. The house is clean, spacious, and nearby to most of the tourist attractions. The owner is very lovely, helpful and responsive. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Omihachiman.
