Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! Room was massive for one person. Fantastic view of the pagoda (but the main tori gate was not visible). Location is located slightly uphill but still close to the main shopping street and the shrine. The room shares the bathroom and shower with everyone else, but has its own sink so it's more convenient. The shared bathrooms were clean, and there's a shared bath that people can reserve.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. Nice dinner & breakfast. Room is clean & spacious.

I only stayed one night but wished I stayed for two!

It was a good location for the long hike around the island through the mountain and close to a garden! Would definitely recommend the stay to anyone wanting to overnight in Miyajima!
