The innkeeper, Miya, grew up in this house and knows Shodoshima intimately. A stay here will give you a wonderful sense of how a traditional Japanese home feels. The tatami rooms are so comfortable. I was able to fully recuperate after some exhausting travel. Miya could not be more accommodating and kind to her guests. She will give you many recommendations and guidance to experience this island. This is truly the best place I stayed in Japan for this kind of hospitable experience. It’s very close to the Tonosho station as well.

Pension L&M - Vacation STAY 82545v se encuentra en Fuchisaki, a 18 min a pie de 1000 Years Olive Tree, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Very nice location, pretty close to Tonosho Port/Area, but also super close to a lovely peaceful beach. The stay offers bicycles, so its fairly easy to get around there :). Sweet host and we really loved the vibe of the stay! Bit of a retro beachy feeling. Would recommend :)

This is a simple idiosyncratic guest house connected to a typical bar/restaurant. Yoko, the host/owner is the heart and soul of it. She is friendly, funny and kind, and even drove me to a remote temple when the weather was cold. I had breakfast every day and supper in the bar one night with Yoko and a couple of friendly locals. Very special place.
