The owner of the camp has assembled a great team of commited people. They provided us with everything: information, transport, guide and superb food. In fact, you can have the camp arrange your game drives in the Masai Mara and your transport from and to Nairobi, all at very competetive rates. The owner, Magdy, will explain everything to you through WhatsApp. All the accomodation and facilities are safe and clean (but opt for the larger and more comfortable rooms!). I did a lot of research before my booking, and I think Greenwood (also recommended in the Lonely Planet guide book, by the way) is among the best choices, if you are on a budget. Go there!

Everything was perfect — the staff, atmosphere, food, and location. We even saw some wild animals right at our room’s doorway! Special thanks to the hotel manager and all the staff, especially Mr. Simon, for making our stay unforgettable.

SK Emanyatta Camp está en Sekenani, en la región de Narok, y dispone de balcón y vistas al jardín. Este apartamento tiene jardín y parking privado gratis. Recomendable 100%. Aunque no es fácil de encontrar y menos de noche cuando llegamos nosotros, la ubicación es excelente ya que está junto al parque Nacional de Maasai Mara, a apenas 5 minutos de 4x4. El trato y la hospitalidad de Kalunka y su gente es excepcional, abrirse a ellos y conocerlos es una experiencia, nos trataron como su familia desde el primer momento.

Rhino hillside está en Sekenani y ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado, balcón y wifi gratis. Este bed and breakfast tiene jardín y parking privado gratis. El personal muy dispuesto en todo momento, muy simpáticos todos y nos recibieron con unas tazas de te y fruta para merendar, también hicieron una fogata la última noche afuera que daba ambiente. La ubicación para mi fue muy buena, estaba dentro de su vida y no en un resort apartado, pudimos conversar con los vecinos y aprender de sus costumbres, nuestro hijo jugaba con las decenas de niños que jugaban al futbol con una bola de plásticos atadas a forma de balón, lo pasamos genial y todos querían vernos y tocarnos, jjejeje, también estaba cerca de los poblados masai que siguen viviendo a la antigua, a pesar de haberse convertido en un saca dólares más, hay que visitarlo ...

Enkusero Mara se encuentra en Aitong y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y bar. Hay un baño privado con ducha en todas las unidades, además de artículos de aseo gratuitos y albornoces. Small (3 tents, one of which is a large family tent), intimate, charming camp, unfenced, ideally located, in the north conservancy, just 5 minutes from the Maasai Mara’s Musiara gate entrance, 15 minutes from the air strip. Completely local ownership and management, which we highly value and one of the reasons we chose this, together with the location and the small size. We had tent 3, high on stilts, large, private, wooden floors, huge netted windows, outside deck all around, unobstructed views on the savannah. Big comfortable bed with good mattress, en-suite bathroom with toilet and huge shower, running water. Electricity and hot water are solar - electricity is around the clock, so maybe the camp tops it up at night with a generator, but we never heard one. Large, charming traditional mess tent, with bar area, and extra lounge, wonderful outdoor deck with fire pit, small plunge pool with deck chairs. Food was excellent, they will apparently cater to dietary needs but have a fixed menu. Most meals in the mess tent, some scenically set in the bush. All drinks were included as was daily laundry. Highly knowledgeable and dedicated guides (William the owner, and Alex), game drives were mostly inside the park and arranged as and when we wished, with picnic breakfast and/or lunch, or not, as we wished. Park fees were included which made the offer we got superb value for money. We had been on safari several times almost 4 decades ago when luxury safaris were mobile or semi-permanent tented camps, small, unfenced, only with simple drop toilets and hot bucket showers, communication only via radio, bush cooking, communal mess tent and fire pit… but with an abundance of local staff delivering perfect, exclusive service. That’s the feeling we were looking for again and this is the closest we found on our trip to Kenya: very similar traditional, exclusive safari feeling , experience and charm, with great service, modern comforts, but no excesses and low imprint.

El Entumoto Main Camp se encuentra en Ololaimutiek y ofrece vistas al jardín, piscina al aire libre y jardín. El baño es privado e incluye ducha, secador de pelo y artículos de aseo gratuitos. Excellent service and staff. David and Sam are excellent guides. There is an opportunity to visit a local school and village (not announced in advance). You can also support students with a scholarship - $300 per year! Please leave cash tips for everyone, in any currency and amount!

El Serian Vacation House ofrece alojamiento con balcón en Narok. Los huéspedes de esta casa tienen acceso a una cocina totalmente equipada. El alojamiento incluye sala de estar con TV. The staff were the best I've encountered as I travel so much for work. The house compound is huge enough to exercise if you're a keen jogger. Situated away from the main road we all slept well (hardly any noise).

Narasha Homestay - Maasai Mara dispone de jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante en Talek. El hostal o pensión también ofrece wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Great family atmosphere, great location close to Talek. The best home made food prepared by the chef John. Very warm and lovely hosts!

Olengoti Eco Safari Camp tiene vistas al jardín y se encuentra en Talek. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, bar, jardín y terraza. Excellent staff and location !

Julia's River Camp está en Talek y ofrece vistas a la montaña, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y bar. En el tented camp, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. Excellent location with animals around the camp. Very clean and comfortable tents, really good food and very friendly and service minded staff. Can highly recommend
