French family, we traveled to Sri Lanka with our 3 kids, 17, 21 and 25 years old. We loved everything! The place, the surroundings, the atmosphere, and moreover Anushka and his family. If you're looking for authenticity, simplicity and exceptional human relationships you'll be at the right place. Anushka is a perfect driver and guide. He picked us up at the airport with a van as we were traveling with our 3 kids and drove us to his house where we stayed for 5 days. We felt immediately at home and spent wonderful moments all together. Anushka brought us to amazing places, temple on top of a mountain with perfect view, river to have a bath every evening, tea factory, Ayurveda botanical garden, restaurant near waterfalls, and a place where we spent a perfect time with elephants, having a ride with them, washing them in the river and giving them some food. Such an amazing experience! He also waited for us in Nanu Oya train station to bring us back to his home after an unforgettable train journey to see the tea plantations. Always ready to make us discover new things, exotic fruits we could buy on our way, animals like monkeys, porcupine, giant lizards and giant bats, answering all questions and so interesting when speaking about his country. He can arrange you any tour you'd like to discover Sri Lanka, always helpful and reactive, you can trust him for everything. And what we loved the most are the precious moments we spent with his family. They are all wonderful people we'll stay in contact with for sure. For those who don't speak English good to know that his sister speaks perfectly French ( she's a teacher) and she's also super friendly and interesting. We spent unbelievable evenings all together, singing loud, and dancing, and having BBQ party. Thank you Anushka for everything, for being you, for introducing us to your family, for having such a great heart, and for having printed in our soul precious and unforgettable memories 🥰

Jungle Village Homestay bevindt zich in Pinnawala, op 28 km van Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens en 32 km van Treinstation Kandy, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een... The room was really clean, the host was extremely helpful and respectful! It was a very comfortable stay. Even hot water and breakfast included :)

Kithulvilla Holiday Bungalow ligt in Kitulgala en biedt gratis WiFi, een buitenzwembad, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Honestly my best stay my entire trip! Lata was a fantastic host, super hospitable and made up the most amazing meals. The place is beautiful with a lovely terrace. Very quiet spot. Cannot reccomend enough.

Pinnawala Elephant Front View Hotel ligt in Rambukkana, op 34 km van Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. Goed ontbijt, mooie schone ruime kamers , groot bed , waterkoker, en het uitzicht vanaf balkon op olifanten weeshuis, geweldig . En een host die je alles laat zien en brengt Vriendelijk en erg hulpvaardig .

Kaba Saradiel is gelegen in Mawanella, op 27 km van Treinstation Kandy en 28 km van Bogambara Stadium, en biedt uitzicht op de tuin. It was a wonderful experience in this cabin. The place is fully equipped and well maintained. The host Mr Sisira is a wonderful person and helped us many ways during whole stay. Amazing location plus close to Kandy town and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. If anyone is interested in hiking, there is a view point Saradiel Rock close by. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel free with nature. We would be very happy to come back someday!
