The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

The room is as in the pictures, good data connectivity, and the shower is warm. I was worried about rain in the morning but got lucky so had an excellent hike up. Breakfast was amazing and the host super kind and helpful: arranged my transport to Kandy directly with them.

Also you have bus from here to many other places, like Anuradapura and Trincomalee. Ishara and Madusanka, the people who work in the hotel, were very, very nice, they help me with anything I could need, so kindness people, always with a smile in their faces. They mantein the place very, very clean, spotless. If they don't have something you need they try to help with all their possibilities. Wonderful experience here. Thank you
