We really felt welcome and looked after like special guests. They own a basic but lovely log cabin with a pool on their property. We stayed there one night before doing our 3 days trip into the Amazon and it was perfect. They did provide local breakfast as part of the room fees and a lovely dinner at a reasonable price.

The property has two individual bungalows that are very spacious, with high ceilings, good bathroom and fly screens all around the windows. Nicolas is absolutely wonderful, very kind, very friendly and very respectful. He can organise daily tours, they were excellent. The tours were with small groups (less than 8 pax). Nicolas cooked very tasty meals. The property is located away from town, which means you have lovely nature around you, but Nicolas was very helpful in driving us to places we needed. The bungalows had a balcony, wifi and hot showers. The two dogs that live there are truly beautiful, we miss their cuddles already. Nicolas helped us find birds and a sloth nearby. There are squirrel monkeys nearby. The property is located near other resorts if you need a pool or river access. We enjoyed this property for its local community and wildlife, its excellent value for a small business. My only recommendation would be to have a tea/coffee making facilities available all day, and a large shower mat to catch excess water.

The place, the energy, their hospitality, the rich animal life in their garden. The smell of the jungle. Their dog Kira greeting us every time we enter the property makes this a truly magical experience. We expected to have a good time in Puerto Maldonado, but did not expect to make great new friendships in Rosa and Elvis. We mentioned for them on our second night that we were on our honeymoon, and the next day Rosa brought the beautiful garden inside and transformed our room into the perfect honeymoon suite. Their demeanour and energy made it easy for us to feel welcome and at home. We will forever cherish our late night talks about life, the unknown and future dreams.

Sheyla and her parents were fantastic hosts and made sure I had everything I needed. Breakfasts changed every morning and always included fresh juice, and lunches and dinners were available at a cost of s/25. The mosquito net in my room kept out all mosquitoes during the night. There was a cold spell, so I was given extra blankets to keep warm at night. Sheyla was excellent at coordinating tours into the jungle, which were reasonably-priced. I enjoyed seeing monkeys and birds on the property, and the family kitten was a nice bonus. The property is off the beaten track so it was nice and quiet all the time.

The lodge is a family business, we had the opportunity to meet Marcos, Yure, Ines, Jorge, Jersey, Darley … the little monkey Macaco and the funny parrot Pepe. The ambiance is very cozy. The food is also very good, they are doing a special effort to show all the Peruvian specialties. All the tours where right on time and as described in the brochure. In case of changes of plans, the manager will quickly find a solution according to your needs. This address is highly recommended 😀

My room was very large with a nice and functional bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. I was surprised how cool my room was given how hot it is. The property is massive and well cared for. Marcel and Blanca were very attentive and extremely sweet to me, especially with my intermediate Spanish skills.
