We were welcomed with fresh fruit, a bottle of red wine, a beer in the fridge and a chocolate heart on the bedside table. Not to forget the friendly host who greeted us with a big smile. Extremely clean, very quiet, and the accomodation offers everything you need, including a private courtyard. We couldn’t have wished for more. The location very close to the ferry terminal was another bonus as we took the ferry to Pico Island.

We had one rainy morning in which we read our books in the sitting room area, which was cozy and quiet. The breakfast was very nicely appointed as well. We had the family room, which was larger than we needed, but allowed us to spread out nicely. We would have liked to stay for longer!

Lucia and her husband are the sweetest people ever with the biggest hearts. Lucia shared a wealth of information regarding the island, the history, and the wonderful shops and restaurants in town. I had eggs from their chickens, the best honey ever from their bees, fresh bread daily, various fruits from their garden, and so much more. The house is so beautiful, comfy, and cozy.. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hike and explore the countryside as I planned because of the extensive rain, so I was so glad I was in a place I truly enjoyed being. I wish I had booked more days there but will definitely return.

The house was a walkable distance from the city and the host was very nice. As a solo travelling afab I felt very safe. Besides, the island is gorgeous. This accomodation had everything I needed for my trip.

There was a delicious breakfast in the mornings with homemade items such as yogurt, jams and cake to go along with the other breakfast items. Coffee and cake were available throughout the day. There was labeled spaces in the fridge to leave your items and then kitchen had all of the cooking items you would need. The rooms were nice with a little balcony and great view of Mount Pico. Great location on the island.

Then there was the view from the dining/lounge room overlooking the bay with Monte de Guia and Ilha do Pico in the background. Each morning we relaxed on the balcony as we had our coffee and listened to the surf gently rolling in. This was all highlighted by the friendly and attentive staff which were there during the daytime hours. Location was perfect with a short walk to the middle of town and the marina. Free street parking (residential area) was available right at the front door. Never an issue.
