Above all, I could feel the host's thoughtful consideration. It was clean, and everything needed for the stay was prepared in advance. There was a backyard, and parking was convenient as well. Very close by (1-2 minutes by car), there are Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Peet's Coffee, Handel's Ice Cream (highly recommended), Vroman's Bookstore, bakeries, and Habit Burger, Hook Burger, In-N-Out Burger (slightly farther than the other two), gas stations, and more.

The property has a beautiful garden and patio, excellent for reading, bird watchig and dolce far niente. We had our aunt with us (96 years old) who also loved the place. We enjoyed eating outside in the patio. A very well-stocked kitchen, we even made cookies... Shops, bakeries, restaurants are in walking distance. We highly recommend Vince's Market, 3250 Silver Lake Blvd, a small grocery store in the neighborhood, they also have good meat for tacos, for avocados ask at the store checkout.

Spectacular views across the LA basin; great sunrises and sunsets. The rooms and linens are very nice and our whole experience was top notch. We came in for the Rose Bowl. The Patrician wasn’t just a nice place to visit for a few days. Our hosts were able to help us navigate around LA to the great sites and gave us special treatment for the Parade and parking for the Rose Bowl. We had a wonderful time mingling with our hosts and the other guest who spent the weekend with us. TJ and Jorie (the owners) were present and engaged in just the right way throughout the stay…
