Close to the station, but not right next to it, the hotel is a quiet oasis in a busy part of the city. As we had to use the train every day the location was just right. The street it is in is not that salubrious, like many streets in this area, but as soon as you enter the hotel it is calm, super clean and friendly. Everything about the room is good. The breakfast is good as well. It was also a good room to work in, with a comfortable work chair and well-lit desk. If we were going back to Birmingham, we would return to this hotel.

Very clean, very comfortable, staff were fantastic. Interesting having all the controls on your phone! I had a compact room as I just needed a bed for the night and it was ideal. Easy to jump in a cab to get to where you want to be - staff will get cabs for you, or the Ubers are cheap.
