Loved the food, great location and just a great place to stay on Bunaken. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Snorkelling on the island is out of this world. Would definitely love to stay again.

The best and kindest homestay i have ever been! This homestay is unique in many forms: the owner Steven contacted me a few days before my arrival to answer all my questions, which was a solo female traveller very helpful. He organised me a taxi and boat from Manado to come to Bunaken and back. Through this i could catch directly my flight. Steven and Misi were always helping me with any situation coming up and I had the feeling I could always ask them anything (i had a difficult situation in the middle). The prices were always transparent and fair. They also helped me to find a very good diving school and helped me planning my snorkeling trips (they have a lot of contacts). Both are very kind, warm and open. They even invited me to celebrate New Years Eve with them and their friends. On my last night we had a small farewell party to which Steven invited some friends over to play music! The room is very clean and comfortable. In the whole house I always had perfect and fast Wifi (didn't expect it on an Island:)). The room had a fan and as an add-on AC. The food is cooked fresh, delicious and a lot. Dietary requests are taken serious (as for me i dont like fish and love Tempeh :)). I also rented a Scooter from them which had a very high quality! I am super happy and grateful I stayed at El Homestay and I am already planning to come back:). I honestly fell in love with this family. If you want to have homestay which feels like home and get to know the village of Bunaken and the culture you should definetely stay at El Homestay!

We had an amazing 2 night stay with Novita and her family. They were incredibly accommodating and the fresh caught fish dinner and her many sauces were amazing!! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Bunaken, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Excellent location. Nice bungalow's with amazing surroundings of green or with beach&sea view. Bungalow's are comfortable clean and very spacious. Staff is friendly, helpful and do everything they can to make your stay comfy. Super friendly Diving Master and boat crew. Diving with them was great experience. Safe, fun and professional.They also organized boat trip to town without problem. Highly recommend this resort.

Very cute and simple homestay! The location on the beach is very nice and mamalis is a very good cook. The couple will help you to rent a scooter or organize snorkeling trips and there is a good diving center next door. It might be cheaper to only book one night and then extend the stay, since they charge less when it's not on this platform. Communication is through translator app and the neighbours,but it works well!

Naca is a lovely person who take care of her guest ! Terimacashii for everything. Tea, coffee and water all day. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful hills and lush greenery. The cabins are beautifully designed, combining modern comfort with a cozy, rustic feel. Everything was new and impeccably clean, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptional friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. We also loved the variety of outdoor activities available, especially snorkeling and day tour to Minahasa with private driver, which allowed us to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Great holiday destination! Best staff ever- we were spoilt from beginning to end. Food is great too! Lots of choices and top quality. Our house was fantastic- stylish yet traditional and sustainable. All facilities you need and the staff will always go an extra mile to help you.
