Great hospitality from a truly caring family. Got a personal tour of the apple orchard and the mushroom factory, which was both fun and really interesting. Getting to try all their juices, ciders and freshly picked vegetables really made this place unique.

The hosts are very lovely. They have bbq facility on site (1500 yen fee) which I highly recommend! It’s nice to have outdoor bbq. However, keep in mind that you will need to bring your own ingredients. To access this accomodation you will require a car as it is a bit far from the downtown.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious. Staff were very attentive. I was really sick on the first day and the lady in the restaurant noticed that I could not eat much and came up to ask what happened. They cooked congee for me on the other day as breakfast that helped me a lot.I would highly recommend this hotel to others and definitely will come back again.

This inn brings you back to another time. It’s perfectly located in the heart of a charming mountain village - quiet, peaceful, and very close to the Nakasendo trail, yet not in the overly touristy area. The building is a traditional wooden house, beautifully decorated with tasteful details that make it both authentic and cool. Our room was remarkably spacious, especially by Japanese standards, making it a very comfortable place to stay. But what makes the experience exceptional is the atmosphere: the surrounding neighborhood is wonderfully genuine, and the young owner runs the inn with great care and warmth. He manages to make the experience feel special and privileged. He even took the time to show us the nearby temple and prepared a delicious dinner, introducing us to a locally brewed and quite unique sake. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here and wish him all the best in this beautiful adventure.

They style and quality of the accommodation, plus the location in Nagiso, giving easy access to the shops, restaurants and train station. Also very much liked the audio system, tv projector and access to Netflix and Amazon. Some very nice touches.
