The host was great and the breakfast fantastic. The location is really amazing just next to the lake and you can hear and see a lot of birds. It was warm water and the facility is pretty new. Comfortable bad 👍🏻

Great location in the middle of a really timy village, completely surrounded by nature. The nicest host family, who made everything to make our stay comfortable. We had wonderful dinner and breakfast. Really calm and beautiful place. Beautiful clean room with hot water. We really recommend renting a bike and biking to the Ritigala mountain.

Breakfast was excellent: a lot of different dishes, tea, coffee, milk and lemonade. For one person it’s more than enough. The staff is very friendly, the owner helps every time for each guests with transportation, excursions and transport to the dinner on dark time - because it’s dangerous to be on a road after 11 pm due to elephant attack. I really like this place - the location is very close to lion rock, you can get it by step. the room has soap, shampoo, mini bar for extra money - tea, coffee and sugar. the light in room is good, conditioner working, mosquitoes blanket is present. The hotel’s garden is very beautiful. I spent nice time in the Rate Sigiri Rock Side Home Stay!!!

Great brand new hotel with spacious rooms and a nice pool to cool down after climbing up the rocks. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they gave us advice on where to eat/drink and arranged transportation at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent, you cannot eat it all. We were served fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, then omelette and next pancakes/local specialty halaba. Also, if you go up the road leading to the hotel you’ll see the fields and a nice lake, perfect location when you’d like to get a break from the tourist crowds

We had the most amazing stay with Suman in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us like family; so kind, caring, and always ready to help. There are only two cabanas, so book quickly: they’re cozy, spotless, and feel just like home. The views from the cabanas are incredible: you can see both Pidurangala and Lion Rock, and Suman even showed us a hidden path to a secret viewpoint. The garden is beautiful, with wild peacocks roaming freely, and watching the sunrise or sunset from there is magical. Suman goes above and beyond:he drove us around, helped with shopping souvenirs, told us stories, and made sure we had everything we needed. His wife’s food is absolutely delicious, and you must try breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by her—it’s homemade. Staying here isn’t just about accommodation—it’s about feeling cared for, like part of Suman’s family. This experience was truly unique, unforgettable and a place i hope to come back. Amazing location in the middle of the forest. The sounds of nature are just out of this world and you can spot all kinds of animals from your bungalow. Can be intimidating for a person traveling alone but also very very fascinating. Loved the breakfast and the kindness of all staff members. I miss the peace already!
