Nodir and his wife Guloi are absolute sweethearts. They were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a converted madhrasah and it was beautifully decorated. It is just outside the old city, from the north gate.

This was a fantastic budget hotel to stay in. Location was great, just inside the city wall. Easy walking to everything. Olya the lady who runs it is lovely, she makes a super breakfast and likes you to eat as she says we need the energy for all the site seeing. She also runs this hotel entirely by herself, I don’t know how she does it.

The location just outside the east gate was excellent. Mardona was an excellent host and I was very happy with the breakfast spread. The bathroom was heated for the winter season and the room was well insulated.
