Breakfast is very good but there are also many other places close by as well as the market most mornings. We loved it and would return any time.

El Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel queda a menos de 5 minutos a pie de la universidad y el centro de Basilea, y está cerca del casco antiguo y los edificios históricos. La cercania al centro histórico y de la estación de trenes fue decisiva en nuestra elección. Nos ofrecieron un upgrade gratuito por una habitación mas cómoda. Solo el baño podría ser un poco mas amplio.

We stayed for 6 nights and were incredibly happy with this outstanding apartment! It's in an excellent location, close to everything in the old town with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The kitchen included lots of cutlery/bowls and cooking utensils and basic supplies (pepper, salt, oil, herbs, spices etc) which made cooking at home relatively easy. The bathrooms include soap and there is a dryer and clothes washer with laundry powder. Several fans were available if it gets hot at night as opening windows can let in street noise (though we slept with the windows open and it was fine). The view from the balconies was great for breakfast in the morning and a drink in the evening!
