Extremely well-furnished and very clean! The room has a high bed that is also comfortable. From the room, you have access to a terrace where you can sit and relax. There is a nearby restaurant that serves breakfast (for an additional fee). Top-notch experience, very comfortable and pleasant stay in the wooden cabins. Truly an authentic American style.

This hotel is quietly located in Hanover's northern Isernhagen district, 3 minutes from the A7 motorway. It is a 15-minute drive from Hanover Airport and 20 minutes from Hanover city centre. This is the hotel to put all other hotels in the shade. A five star experience at a 3 star price. The rooms were very generous in space including the bathroom, down duvets and down pillows (all antiallergic), so no sweating under artificial fibres like in other hotels. The stuff exceptionally friendly and helpful. There are communal rooms for everybody to use incl. a terrace, bordered by a very well kept gaarden, so we could have drinks on the terrace in the evening. In the tea kitchen all sorts of drinks are provided against payment into an honesty box incl. various sorts of beer and wine, tea and coffee and more. There is even a drawer with useful items that travellers might have forgotten to bring like toothbrushes or toothpaste. We felt very much at home there and the beds were a dream. We slept like on clouds. I'd like to wrap this hotel up and take it with me wherever I travel.

We stayed in seven different hotels during our long road trip. All of them were carefully selected and good, but Frida Hotel & Café in the small town of Bassum in northern Germany was exceptional. If it were possible to pack this hotel in our luggage and take it with us on the trip, I would undoubtedly do so. We had a spacious family room with a perfect layout: two connected rooms with a large bathroom in between. I still feel frustrated that small families with two kids are often forced to book two rooms in most places, and I’m grateful to hotel owners who understand that it shouldn’t be that way. Everything was spotlessly clean — floors, bathroom, white and crisp bed linen, and common areas. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, so you wake up well-rested and full of energy. Finally, the à la carte breakfast — which is almost always better than a buffet — included a basket of bread and pastries, boiled eggs, high-quality cold cuts and cheeses, salmon with horseradish, fresh vegetables, spreads, a wide selection of drinks, and really good coffee — the kind you miss anywhere away from Copenhagen.
