We really enjoyed our stay at JayDees, the people living here are the kindest people we ever met, they are alwaysg happy to help you and provide very good advices to travel around the beautiful island of Taveuni. The food was just amazing and always varied, local and in good quantities. We loved the music played during our meals, the coconuts and papaya provided everyday from the garden. We were sad to say goodbye to them.

They helped us with our scuba diving & car hire - so helpful!! We got to taste some amazing home cooked Fijian meals, we were never left hungry. The hosts at Maravu are so incredibly welcoming and make an effort to call every guest by their name. The gardens and pool are beautiful, the food at the on-site restaurant is good quality and reasonably priced, especially at breakfast! Big shout-out to Rafa, who feels like the dad of the place and is so full of love for everybody, he immediately makes you feel like you are part of their family. He also loves his kava and music ;) I loved my time at Maravu and highly recommend it to all!

Sia, Charley, Jima and all the boys cared a lot for me and we had an amzing time together! Sia ist the best cook in all of Fiji, better then in restaurant i can tell, love her veggi food, fresh fish, curry and lots of fruits every day..i went horse riding with Charley, with the boys on the boat to honeymoon island for snorcheling, the reef is directly in front the homestay, amazing natural landscape! Pete the driver took me to lavena coastal walk in national park and drives you everywhere on Taveuni 😀i loved the cute dogs and the kids in the village are so fun. My room was nice, i had my own little cozy space and Sia and everyone makes everything perfect, helping me with all questions, embracing me like a daughter (as i'm travelling on my own), i felt welcome like at home. Got emerged in the real Fiji life, I came as guest and left as friend. This family is a jewel and i will never forget this beautiful time with them!

Hosts Allen and Mary were great. They made sure I was comfortable and even helped organise a taxi for me to visit the Bouma and Lavena falls. The Place itself is really lovely - well maintained and clean! It's easily accessible from the airport and walking distance to the few restaurants in Matei. You'd be hard pressed to find a better valued stay on the island. Camp Taveuni offers dorms as well as single/double occupancy rooms. I stayed in the private room and it was great! Nothing fancy, a queen sized bed, a table with a few drawers and a fan to keep you cool. You don't need much more when you're here and living the island life. They also have a nice pool if you want to take a dip. The beach is a 10 minute walk from your room and you have a nice view of the ocean from the common area. They also have to cutest dogs (Xena and Zoe) and the sweetest cat (Miley). If, like me, you're missing your pets while you're traveling, having the cat and dogs around definitely helped! Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Allen and Mary really made my trip to Taveuni special! It was great getting to know them and I'd highly recommend checking out Camp Taveuni!
