With original 1906 features, there are glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, fireplaces and even the original safes. Excellent location. Friendly and efficient staff. Large, comfortable room. Large, comfortable bed. Very clean.

At the heart of Glasgow City Centre and only 15 minutes’ drive from Glasgow airport, Dakota Hotel is ideally situated for a night on the town or a productive business trip. Situated beside Blythswood Square and a short walk from the city’s shopping district, guests can enjoy the nearby cultural attractions such as the Kelvin Grove Art Gallery & Museum, the Centre for Contemporary Arts, and both the Theatre Royal and Kings Theatre. It is a a short five-minute drive to Hydro, Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre), and Hampden Park, home to all the main music and sporting events. This hotel is excellent. We loved the room - it was very large and the bed was very comfortable. We had a mini bar included and it was replenished each day. If we ever come back to Glasgow, this will be the place where we will stay. Love it!

With a central Glasgow location, The Pipers’ Tryst Hotel is a unique 4-star restaurant with rooms located at The National Piping Centre - the home of Scottish Bagpiping. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout and as a registered charity, all profits go back into teaching the bagpipes within Scotland and locations worldwide. We stayed in the standard double room and the bed was massive, easily a king sized bed. The room was spacious and clean and staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is only about a 15 minute walk away from the city centre. It's not a huge hotel but that's actually a positive in my opinion, gives it a more personable experience.

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. Great location close to the Loch, beautiful farm setting and spacious apartment. Kitchen has everything you might need and bathroom was very spacious, equipped even with a Rowe warmer. Little fireplace felt really cozy.

Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. We had a great stay -- the hotel is rather unique in that it's actually several townhouses that are connected and then redone as rooms. Our room was delightfully decorated fitting of the boutique hotel status, with a huge bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The hotel staff were communicative and helpful, both before our stay, messaging over booking.com, at reception, and while there. We were celebrating a special occasion, and had a nice surprise welcoming us in the room, which we appreciated. We also ordered room service from the restaurant (always a nice treat at hotels that offer it) and this hit the spot -- there was good variety, the food was high quality, and the ambiance and experience quickly made us feel at home. Lastly, it was our first time in Glasgow and as travelers without a car, we weren't quite sure where to stay. This spot worked out quite well -- the area is nice, and the university area (around Byres road), with more shops and cafes and such, is just a 10 minute walk, or a shorter bus ride. The bus stop is also right outside and very convenient, and that or the train provide quick transit access through the city. Overall, this worked out very well for us -- we had comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and great service. Would recommend to others.

This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and private check-in and check-out. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Loved the location in a park just a few minutes from the main street. The breakfast was delicious, in a lovely dining area set around the workings of the old mill. I was there for a wedding and family members were jealous of accommodation and breakfast compared to their B&B on the main street. Also our host was very relaxed about check in and breakfast times.

The bonfire facility provided was very convenient and it was an amazing experience. All the facilities were very well maintained and we enjoyed staying at this campsite.

The property is non-smoking and is set 300 metres from Sauchiehall Street. We were made from the very beginning to treat this property as a home from home. The space was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing visit. Very central position but still peaceful. Steve was very responsive to questions asked prior to visit and took time to show us around the property on arrival. Wonderful touch to supply the basics, like milk, bread, eggs, tea, coffee and toiletries. We’ll be back, thank you from Val, Lynn & Tina xx
