Boatique Hotel and Marina heeft een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een restaurant in Rio Dulce. It’s a pity we did not book more nights in this accommodation. We travelled through Guatemala and this was kind of a break from our tight schedule and we couldn’t be happier. The accommodation is amazing (the scenery made me forget the fact we had to share a bathroom with the other guests), and the whole staff is kind and nice. Definitely a recommendation and, if I ever go back to Guatemala, I will definitely book a (longer) stay here!

Palmeras del Río HOTEL heeft een tuin, een privéstrand, een terras en een restaurant in La Viña. De accommodatie ligt op een paar minuten lopen van Playa Ribera Rio Dulce en biedt een bar. Fantastisch plek! Veel zitplekken om te genieten van de natuur, prima bedden en een waanzinnige badkamer! Iedereen doet zn best om je een topervaring te geven en het eten is vers en goed! Zou zeker terugkomen. Mogelijkheden om via hun kayakken te huren of de boot naar Livingston te nemen.

El Hotelito Perdido is een accommodatie met 4 sterren tegenover het strand in Rio Dulce met heeft een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Het is een kleurrijk en smaakvol ingericht hotel/hostel. Er wordt s´avonds aan een grote gemeenschappelijke tafel gegeten en dat zorgt onmiddellijk voor een gezellige sfeer. Zowel het ontbijt alsook de lunch en het avondeten worden met veel liefde bereid. Dus alles was echt pico bello, maar het mooiste moet nog komen; het is ongelooflijk wat je krijgt voor je geld , de verhouding prijs/kwaliteit is echt schitterend! Voor ons het beste verblijf dat we geboekt hebben in Guatemala.

Hermoso Apartamento equipado ligt in Puerto Barrios. Er is gratis WiFi en privéparkeren op het terrein. Het appartement heeft 1 slaapkamer, een volledig uitgeruste keuken, en 1 badkamer. Very good location and I was able to get a pedicure next door when I went to pay for the stay! Brilliant. Daniel was very helpful and friendly. I loved being able to walk to and from Sendero de Bosque tropical las Escobas, it is stunning! Well worth the visit. Mona’s cafe was recommended to me by Daniel - I liked it so much I went back every day (the mokka & mokka frappe were both really nice)

Coco Bamboo Beach Camp ligt in Miramar en biedt gratis WiFi en een tuin met een terras en uitzicht op de zee. The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better.

Hotel el viajero bevindt zich in La Viña en beschikt over een restaurant en een bar. When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Hotel Posada Stella Maris is gelegen in Puerto Barrios. Het hotel met 5 sterren biedt een tuin en heeft kamers met airconditioning, gratis WiFi, een eigen badkamer. Ollie was exceptionally kind and well connected to get us help with transportation. She is also a great cook. Don Luis was the taxi driver that she connected is with. He is a very honest man. He drove back to the facility to return my phone and charger that I left in the taxi. Funds from this place go to support underprivileged individuals attain working skills.

Casa Caribe Hotel heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een privéstrand en een gedeelde lounge in Rio Dulce. Deze accommodatie heeft roomservice, een restaurant en een terras. Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.
