A panoramic view of the Aeolian Islands with plenty of natural light. The hostess, Vanessa, is always one Whatsapp away. The family also runs an online confectionery/pastry business . They also offer us a huge selection of cookies for trial. We ordered Brioche for our breakfast throughout our stay, a pistachio Birthday cake, cookies for takeaway and oranges for juicing. All delivered to our doorstep. The oranges come from their own orchard, right ripeness makes a very different type of juice. The kitchen is well-equipped including a juicer. If one needs organically grown vegetables and fruits such as strawberries, 700m or 10 mins walk, there is a farm shop called “I' Orto Di Masseria”. Opposite, there is Supermercati SISA for drinking water supply or etc. For restaurants, this “Penthouse” is well-located to neighbouring villages i.e Demenna Luogo di Ristoro in San Marco d'Alunzio, which is a beautiful village; Ambrosia osteria contemporanea and La Carrubba Ristorante in Sant'Agata di Militello. Of course, please reserve in advance to secure a table. Sant'Agata di Militello is also known for ecologically grown tree ripped Sicilian mangos, called “Papa Mangos”. The season would be from the end July - November.

The room we stayed in was spacious, perfectly clean, supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay and the balcony offers a breathtaking view to the sea and to the lower part of the town. The town itself is one small but amazingly pretty and hospitable mediterranean jewel. We just can't wait to go back there and enjoy the beauty, the calmness, the great food, the sunshine and the local people's kindness!
