The proximity of the guest house was very close to the station, and the host and hostess, Funa and Kimi were extremely kind and helpful. The introduction to their guest house was very thoroughly, and made sure everyone was warm after traveling through the winter snow and temperature. Not only were the hosts very friendly and willing to chat, but they even provided and help make reservations at recommended restaurants! When I asked where I could find a furoshiki I could purchase for a souvenir, Kimi kindly offered one she had for me to take home as a souvenir! I had a great time chatting with them while waiting for my train to the next destination. They were even helping some other guests with translation of medical documents due to an injury received while skiing. Funa and Kimi are the perfect host to anyone staying in Otaru! I stayed in the Japanese style room and wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I go to Otaru, there's no doubt I'll be staying with them again!

The staff were super friendly and responsible. They used a translation app and really tried their best to explain everything to us. The public bath was great.

The room had so much space and so many conveniences! washing machine, umbrellas, microwave, kitchen, the dining table were much appreciated! The check-in and out guide were clear. The laundry room came with a lot of hangers which really facilitates the conveniences. The location is not too far from the city center. I loved that there are 7Eleven and Family Mart within few blocks from the property.

Boasting a spa and wellness centre, Hotel Emion Sapporo is situated in Sapporo in the Hokkaido region, 450 metres from Sapporo Station and 13 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. The hotel was close to the train station, and had a 7-11 right next door that could be accessed without even leaving the hotel. The room was spacious, with a large selection of amenities. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The onsen was very enjoyable.Their breakfast buffet had many options, and I was happy to find a selection of local dishes.

A beautiful ryokan with both public and private onsens with fantastic winter views. Dinner was a huge kaiseki meal with sashimi, steamed seafood, beef sukiyaki and various appetisers. The rooms and the entire resort was elegantly decorated at every turn. The best part that topped off the day and experience is the ramen offering at 10pm for supper.
