Cheap hotels in Kagoshima

Budget hostel with basic amenities. Loved the rooftop view and area. Felt a bit like staying at someone's house. Easy access to the ferries for Sakuragima (12 min walk) and Yakushima (8min walk).

The location, the room, having a washer dryer. In addition, due to a medical issue, we had to request a late check out. It was easy to arrange and inexpensive.

Great location for exploring the national park. Friendly and helpful host. Spacious cabin, very clean.

Great location with very clean & comfy rooms

Hostel located in an old building, set to be demolished soon. Old style house with a good vibe. Tatami room with bunk beds, single room with futon. Kitchen is equipped so I bought groceries and cooked. You can stay in the living room and socialise with other guests. Location is ideal, near Tenmonkan and port. Good bakery just down the street.

It’s really cheap. We were in Ibusuki for just a night so this is really a good option. The house is also very clean with more than sufficient amenities.

Very friendly host. The cottage was very clean, with comfortable beds. The location is great, walking distance to a fantastic restaurant. Could not ask for a better stay in Yakushima, it made our short stay on the island unforgettable!

The location is slightly outside the small port town, surrounded by the forest. The room is small, but very comfortable and everything is very clean. The staff is amazing, always there to help you with recommendations. They also pick us up from the port and gave us a couple of lifts to several locations. Definitely recommended!
