The staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel has a nice outside deck and view of Nikko and the mountains. It also has a common area where one can eat their own meals. The value for money was fantastic as well.

Everything is AMAZING. In my villa type, there was a huge bath, a private bath deck to cool off on, a sauna, and a massage chair. It was all enjoyable and extremely high quality. The floors in the living room could be heated and there was A/C in every room. They even included 5-7 free drinks in the fridge! The appliances in the kitchen were all so high quality, including a microwave/oven/grill, rice cooker, nespresso pod brewer (coffee and decaf provided), and dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer combo as well (drying does take <4 hours). There are some food options available in the vending machine area, like instant curry and rice. 7 minute walk to station, 5 minute walk to supermarket. This place was SO thoughtfully designed. 100%, I’ve never been in a nicer accommodation. I even got it for a great price in January (54,000円 for two nights, number of guests didn’t raise the price). I’d stay again. And again!

Rakuten STAY VILLA Nikko bevindt zich in Nikko, op 15 minuten lopen van station Tobu Nikko en 1,5 km van Treinstation Nikko. This was an amazing place and perhaps the highlight of our whole 3 weeks in Japan. We had a villa for four and it was amazing. The private Onsen and sauna really was the icing on the cake. The villa was well equipped, spacious and modern. There were so many high-tech gadgets I didn't really know what some of them were! The welcome drinks in the fridge were especially kind. There is a bus just before the 10:00 a.m. checkout time down to the station in Nikko which was great. Location a little bit out of town but that didn't bother us and it was a nice 15-minute walk.

Amazing and cozy place, with an outdoor terrace next to the river. Close to the popular shrines. Restaurant-quality food. One of the owners is an English native speaker. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a superb bathroom (with bath!) There are only 2 rooms, so book well in advance! The couple that runs the place went out of their way to help us out and made us feel right at home. Thanks so much for having us!

Nikko Cottage Yurt is een accommodatie 13 minuten lopen in Nikko, op 2,4 km van Treinstation Nikko, en heeft voorzieningen zoals een kitchenette en flatscreen-tv. Fantastische host! Bracht ons van station naar de yurt en weer terug. Heel fijn dat er wasmachine in huisje was.
