So all in all great hostel, great staff, best stay.

The island the guest house it on is beautiful and the people are very kind. If you rent a scooter or bike, it is easy to get to the other islands. The food provided by the guesthouse is excellent and fairly priced. Great place to relax, meet other travelers, and enjoy the best of Southern Laos. They also provide cooking classes and fishing. The owner provides free drinking water. Bring your own reusable bottle if you can. Otherwise you can fill your plastic water bottle. I

Darren was a fantastic host- very attentive and had great recommendations about things to do and places to eat. By talking to him we gained good insight into life in Don Det. We enjoyed a spacious, clean room with a big bed, beautiful views of sunset over the river, hammocks, a fridge and a good shower. Darren also offered pick up from the ferry, and he met us there with our luggage when we were leaving.
