We have visited Laguna de Apoyo a few times in the past, and have stayed in different hotels. San Simian was a lot better than the others. It had access to everything we needed, AND it was a lot more quiet, it had lots of shade and beautiful gardens. There is a hike to the Catarina Mirador 100 m away from the hotel, which was a bonus. You wake up every morning with the sounds of monkeys, birds, squirrels and a beautiful view of the water. You can order a coffee thermos and have it ready for you when you wake up in the morning, before breakfast, so you can enjoy it in your room or in the hammock outside your room, or by the lake. The shower in the cabin we stayed in was open concept. What a lovely experience to take a shower under the stars! There is always warm water, which is a plus in Nicaragua The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Daniel, the server is always ready to help with whatever you need. Daniel, the owner is amazing, He has lots of great information about the area, and about other places to stay in Nicaragua. He is always making sure that you are well taken care of, and he takes great care of his staff. We are already planning out next stay at San Simian. Can't recommend it enough!

The best stay in Nicaragua! The casitas are located in an incredible villa, 1 minute walk to the shores of Laguna de Apoyo. Waking up to the sound of the birds, having a great breakfast (and the best coffee) with amazing views is hard to describe. Benjamin, the host, is friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable! The houses are spacious and clean and have everything you need. I cannot thank Casa Unica and Benjamin enough for an unforgettable stay!

Casa Bella tiene vistas a la montaña y se encuentra en La Laguna. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de habitaciones, cafetería, jardín, terraza y barbacoa. Very individual design and even with the busy hotel activity in the neighborhood Casa Bella is really calm. The high rise beds are very comfortable, with very intelligent solution for light switches and fans… very well working aircon. Kitchen equipped with basic ingredients, fridge with eggs and some drinks… we didnt use it, but it was nice to have the option. Dogs were not only welcome, they had a water bowl prepared in the common area. A small welcome board on the door was a very sweet plus to feel at home. Great to have the option to use restaurant service of Casa Marimba.

La laguna es hermosa, el desayuno es bueno y varía generalmente según en día entre el tradicional (arroz, frijoles, platano) y panqueques con fruta.

Este si es el mejor hotel de todo NICARAGUA pero recomiendo si tiene vehículo porque queda dentro de un paraíso !!! Dentro de una Laguna volcánica!! Es increible!!! Como nunca antes he vistonnn me fui a nadar en la NOCHE CON LA ESTRELLAS y nunca vi algo igual! Era una PAZ! Lleven gafas de snorkel hay tanta vida marina! Que no pudieran creer cómo es! Es algo sin igual! Deben quedarse aquí tiene cocina , pueden cocinar, hammaca, y todo lo que se inmaginan súper vale la pena el precio CAYAK GRATIS Y ILIMITADO!
