Very quiet environment, with a beautiful view on the pretty garden from the room, and a nice park for a walk, just across the road. I could only stay for one night, but I enjoyed this stay.

Our host, Gail, provided a very warm welcome and suggestions for hikes, winery visits, restaurants & cafes which we really appreciated. The apartment was spacious, comfortable & well-appointed with a nice terrace. It overlooks a shipyard & a cruise port, but we weren't affected at all by any noise while we were there. It is located in a quiet area of Ahuriri where there are a variety of waterfront restaurants & shops. Napier is just a few minutes away by car. We enjoyed exploring the area, visiting wineries and hiking the trails at Te Mata Peak.

The shower is easily adjusted for height with excellent pressure and ample hot water. It’s located across from the beach and boardwalk. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. Hosts live above and are easily accessible yet unobtrusive. Very comfortable.

So many historic details, the wall paper, furniture... Almost like a step back in time, but with all modern anemities; a cozy place. The little extras as fruit, a glass of wine, breakfast ... make you feel welcome and at home right away. Laurie, the proud and lovely host was there to welcome us and give us all the info we needed. The washing machine is a great plus.
