It's right in the noisy centre, but somehow, once you close the front gate behind you, you're in a super quiet and clam space. Daniel who looks after the place (apparently not the owner) is super kind, generous and helpful. Lovely courtyard with nice greenery and fruit trees. The room is simple but adequate. Certainly great for the price.

The owner also allowed me to make my own breakfast in the morning (by heating up some milk so I could have oats) because I was unable to eat the provided breakfast. Super accomodating. Fabiola, the owner, was always there to take care of you. They even took care of the other guests when I arrived early morning not making any noise to them. It has amazing views over the river. Conveniently located behind a fruit & vegetable market, it is also only a block or so from the scenic Malecon & the main historic plaza. The hostel is magical. The high-ceilinged rooms are completely covered with vividly coloured murals. It reeks of charm. We took a room with a private bathroom. It was huge & the one wall was solid window looking out onto the river. The room is well-appointed with a bar fridge, reading lamps, etc. linens & great wifi provided. The common room (where an excellent breakfast can be served) also has these amazing windows & views. Chip speaks English & he & Yessica have been in Iquitos a long while so can answer all questions.
