The beds are incredibly cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The staff is friendly and professional. Huge apartments, clean and tidy. Fabulous views of the old town from the window. Delicious Slovenian breakfast on site. Both the city of Ptuj and the monastery itself have an indescribable aura.

Only 1 km from the centre of Maribor, the Črni Baron Pension Black Baron is located in Malečnik, 20 metres from a bus stop. Super clean. Very friendly, helpful staff. Amazing breakfast experience. Dinner in the pizzeria restaurant great value and wonderful food. Goodbye water & fruit package (apples) when we checked out. Wow.

The host were very supportive, service minded and responded very quickly to a mosquito issue we had. Unfortunately a window had been left open. Maribor town was also a nice small place with many restaurants, bars and friendly people.
