The generator was a luxury in the state of South Africa we weren’t affected at all. I will most definitely tell all to visit this establishment.

The house was amazing with everything I needed, from the kitchen to the bathroom and the large living area. The little touches all make a difference to the feel of the place - the large spacious lounge, the beautiful wooden counter tops in the kitchen and the stone floor in the bathroom shower - loved it. In particular I loved the skylight that allowed me to lie in bed and see the stars at the same time! The air feels so clear there. Added bonus was having the dam in front of the house with a small water view, and having the remnants of the old railway station across the road gave me sense of history of the area.

Great features in the lodge, such as the braai, hot tub and fireplace. Nice little quirky and funky decor features added to make this a unique and memorable stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and delivered us a bag of ice to save us a drive into the nearest town. The drive leading to/from the accommodation was stunning, with fun windy roads.
