Stay in an air-conditioned tent at Tiger Machan, which is 1.5 km from Rathambore National Park. With the wild jungle on one side, the property has its own restaurant. What is not to like. A wildlife haven and prime place to stay because of its grounds. Pools of fantastic bird life and wildlife in night just for you. Veggie food is amazing, service outstanding. We were in a luxury tent which I think is their cheapest option and was great. Recommend fort visit with Bablu ( driver ) who also sorts out transfers for you if you've booked your own safaris via the ranthambore official site. Highly recommend zones 2 and 4 if you can get them. Don't just get hung up on tigers (we did see them), there's so much more out there ie storks, antelope, deer, turtles, mongoose, boar and the fab sloth bears. Royal treatment in middle of dessert! Couldn’t believe they have been able to create a luxurious hotel in middle of nowhere. The tents had every facility for running hot water, running toilets shower, just like hotel. The tents were spick and span with no dust or sand anywhere, which was amazing given that it is surrounded by only sand. Service, food was excellent. Sunset camel safari was the highlight of the stay. I would come back again
