Mhamid Sahara Camp - Mhamid El Ghizlane bevindt zich in M'Hamid en biedt een tuin, een terras en een restaurant. Wonderful real desert experience!!! You can get there by normal car (no 4x4 needed) though you have to drive carefully as the last part of the way is a gravel road. Larbi is a great host who will tell you about the real nomad life. The conditions are basic but it is close to real nomad life not in a style of a luxury tent. Bright stars at night, quietness and a very nice and honest host. I am sure one day we will be back to go with him to Erg Chegaga. Thank you Larbi for your kindness and stories you shared with us.

Majorelle Desert Camp is gelegen in Zagora en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. The camp has the perfect location, I came by share taco and they picked me up with a motorcycle from the Main Street. All of the staff are lovely people, I felt more than welcome and really had a great experience! The food was great, my tent really spacious and beautiful and the facilities clean. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to stay for one or more nights in the desert but doesn’t want to book a guided tour!

Forget tourist places like Merzouga. This is the most authentic Berber experience you can have in the Moroccan desert. Before the trip, Younes contacted us via WhatsApp to understand which activities we would like to do. The road is not paved, but you can get there with a regular car. The tents are big and comfortable, and most importantly, they are not close to each other as you often see in other desert camps. The bathroom is very clean. The food service is incredible. As we spent two nights, we had two breakfasts (included), two dinners, and one lunch. The food was very authentic and plentiful. They take care of every detail. We did a three-hour camel tour with Mohammed, which was also a very nice activity. They asked us if we wanted to go for longer, but after three hours, it was perfect for us. I highly recommend this camp to anyone traveling to Morocco.

Sahara Luxury Camp ligt in Zagora en biedt accommodatie met gratis privéparkeren. Sommige units hebben een eethoek en/of een balkon. De luxe tent heeft een restaurant dat Afrikaanse gerechten... Mohammed (en zijn crew) deed het fantastisch, zetten een gezellige sfeer neer, kamelentocht is een aanrader, eten was goed en met het kampvuur in de avond maken ze het echt tot een onvergetelijke ervaring!

Chegaga Berber Camps is gelegen in M'Hamid en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Alle units hebben een volledig uitgeruste keuken, zodat je je eigen maaltijden kunt bereiden. Amazing experience in the dunes of Erg Chigaga. The location just in the middle of the dunes is perfect and very relaxing. Mohammed was very friendly and nice. The transfer to the camp was interesting as we were going through a desert storm so it took over 2 hours. On the way back, it took 1.5 hours. Transfer was for 90€. I would definitely go to this camp again for more nights. 🙂

Nomads Heaven Camp is gelegen in M'Hamid, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en toegang tot een tuin met een terras. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

Hij is een echte nomaden, die jaren in de woestijn heeft geleefd. Een original dus. Mooie verhalen. Het eten was heerlijk.

Camp Mbark authentic in Mhamid biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een tuin, een terras, een restaurant en een barbecue. Zowel WiFi als privéparkeren is bij de luxe tent gratis toegankelijk.... The camp is situated in a great location next to beautiful dunes. The staff was very nice and so kind to pick up and drop us off at M'hamid. We definitely recommend it..

Erg Chigaga Regency Camp in El Gouera biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de stad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras, een restaurant en skiën tot aan de deur. 10/10 doesn’t describe how amazing this stay was! A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!
