Stunning hotel that lets you relax into Zanzibar island life immediately. Staff were friendly and keen to make our trip even better. Excellent value for money, fresh food and delicious cocktails. Absolute bonus having a sea view and picturesque views from sunrise to sunset. Staff that went above and beyond, helped arrange excursions for us including a brilliant boat trip which we loved. Great range of seating including hammocks, sun loungers, tables in different locations.

Wonderful location just next to beach. Nice swimming pool and hammocks in a shaded area. Clean, spacious rooms with good air conditioning, mosquito nets and staff who treated the room to get rid of insects. The restuarant has a lovely view over the beach and sea, and staff were generally attentive and helpful.

Very nice staff. Good restaurant and delicious breakfast. We got a free upgrade to a better bungalow. The accommodation had a wonderful atmosphere. Lots of hammocks, beautiful interior and lovely dogs. We admired numerous palm trees and listened to the sound of the sea. We liked the quiet, almost deserted beach. There are far fewer traders than on other beaches.

The breakfast was great. They served us upstairs on the veranda. The weather was beautiful and the breeze was warm. There was wicker chairs and furniture and a hammock.

Marafiki Beach Hotel is the perfect place to relax. Located on a quiet part of the Matemwe beach it has the classic ‘take your shoes off and dive into a book’ vibe. Sun beds and tents located around the pool are really comfy to enjoy the sun or have a nap in the shade. As in the rest of Zanzibar the high/low tide changes the beach significantly, allowing for never ending morning strolls and afternoon swims (beware sea urchins).

Staff were really friendly and accommodating. The property has left the surrounding nature untouched which means you can go for a walk and spot some local wildlife - we saw lots of red squirrels and even an elephant shrew! There is a great jetty to walk along and watch sunset from. The pool is lovely and the food also really tasty.

The resort is a wonderful big open space with a lot of areas to chill and relax. Excellent food and lovely staff. Gemma the owner is very nice and always there if you need her. We stayed in the sunset suite which was absolutely amazing as we slept in the open under a mosquito net. The people of the adjacent village are very friendly and the sunsets are beautiful. We had a wonderful time at Karamba. Thank you for a fantastic time! Asante sana!

Hosts were great and very communicative and were able to help us hire a scooter which we received within the hour of requesting. Every breakfast was incredibly fresh and varied and the rooms were so spacious, modern and clean with nice hot showers, mosquito nets and great wifi. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and the village and had night time security. Really quiet accommodation with a bit of music heard from other places nearby, but wasn’t enough to keep me awake.

Very beautiful place made by beautiful people! the owners are so nice and thoughtful! The food are great and so are the cocktails, my favorite is the hibiscus heaven, make sure you get one when you are there! The place really embody the name "Zen". Beautiful flowers, great pool and lovely sun beds, all the setup is made for relaxation. Highlight is the Weds. evening's sunset live DJ sesh :) thank you guys for auch a lovely experience!
