It's peaceful and tranquil. It's the perfect place if you want to truly experience nature. Falling asleep near the river is a truly wonderful experience.

Situated within Makalali Private Game Reserve west of Kruger Park, aha Makalali Private Game Lodge offers accommodation in 2 lodges. This Big Five game reserve spreads over 26000 hectares. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was wonderful, they grilled steak, meats & other delicious food on an open fire , home made brioche , bread complimented starter soups the three course meal finished with homemade desserts. (All inkl in the package ) . The chef was very innovative & interested in serving only the best quality food ! the game drives were sensational. The drivers were very professional and knowledgeable about the different animals. Only after 2 days we already seen the big five except the leopard . We were served an aperitif in the sunset providing sensational pictures after each game drive and were able to choose our preferred beverage upfront . The river lodge we stayed in , was very peaceful and the staff was accommodating , greeted us on return with hot towels and showed utmost interest in making this stay a really special one ! We would highly recommend this game reserve and the benchmark has been set at a very high standard .

Situated within the Mabula Private Game Reserve, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp consists of five luxury tents. The camp features a small outdoor swimming pool, as well as a guest lounge and bar area. Staff are excellent and very accommodating. From Arrival to departure everything is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Everything was beyond expectation, I highly recommend a stay here if you get the opportunity. Every detail and bit of care put into your stay is so special both Butch and the owner are just so friendly and accommodating we couldn't have asked for a better stay and this is now our new no.1 spot to stay moving forward. The tents are amazing and you are short of nothing on your stay they have truly thought of it all. Thank you Butch for being so accommodating during our stay and it was absolutely lovely meeting the owner the next morning at the park gate.

The location is beautiful and secluded, with views on the Olifantsriver (even from your shower) and a nice variety of wildlife in the reserve. Despite only staying for two nights, we saw loads of wildlife including; lions, leopard, elephants, giraffes, and even crocs from the deck at the lodge. Also, it’s a relatively quiet area so you have the sightings to yourself, and rarely bump into other vehicles. To top it off, the staff is great, with every team member going above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Definitely not the last time we visited this lovely lodge and team!
