The capsule (we had 2 in a standalone room) were spacious enough to fit a 1,88m human comfortably. While the "mattress" felt thin, we slept well ( but do prefer harder mattresses anyhow). Great shower, including toiletries and other bits available including towels and yukata. Coffee /water for free as well as drinks vending machine one reception level.

Massage centre on 4/F is a plus and it was one of the best massage I have ever had. Very good value of price with access to bath and huge common area and full access of high speed WiFi.

WATOWA se encuentra en Yunotsu, a 12 km de Nima Sand Museum y a 19 km de Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Centre. Ofrece alojamiento con restaurante y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. Fantastic location. The futons were comfortable and the room was perfect for 4 people. Stairs are quite steep but it didn’t bother us, although it might be difficult for elderly or people with mobility issues. We loved our stay at Watowa and we would love to e to stay again when we’re next in Yunotsu.

Capsules were on their own separate floor away from the locker room and the bath house, which allowed it to be kept quiet and dark. The locker room was very sizable, plenty of space to keep all your stuff and change. There were bathrooms on every floor (three floors - 5th floor is locker rooms / front desk and some bathrooms, 4th floor is capsules / bathrooms and an area to charge devices and read, 6th floor is the bathhouse (showers, onsen, cold dip, wet sauna, dry sauna) along with an area to hang out to drink water and have beers and watch tv. Men only, going about and relaxing and recovering. Really sets a mood that I do not get to feel often, but it was comfortable and nice. Also, extremely close to the Fukuyama train station for access to both JR and Shinkansen. The staff was always extremely nice, showing me where things were, and answering my questions. They even hung onto my bag during the day after I checked out so that I could ride the Shimanami Kaido without needing to find a place to keep my bags.

I was also able to book a massage last minute, and they kindly fit me into the schedule without any hassle. The massage itself was excellent and exactly what I needed after a long day. Overall, a relaxing and accommodating experience—highly recommended!
